El Toro High School, also known as “El Toro” and “El Toro 20”, is a skatespot composed of two 20 staircases with large handrails, some two and four stairs, a two-flat-three staircase and some waxed ledges. The spot is located in Lake Forest, California, USA on the property of the El Toro High School.

Things worth knowing

Heath Kirchart was first to skate one of the rails in the Birdhouse video “The End” in which he frontside lipslided it. The stairs were ollied by Don Nguyen, Gareth Stehr almost landed and Ryan Dannettelle did land a backside 180°. Dave Bachinsky even successfully kickflipped the stairset in 2006. Tosh Townend backside feebled the rail when he was just 14 years of age. In Emercia’s “This is Skateboarding” video Brian Herman 50:50ed one of El Toro’s handrails in a run.

Location and approach

The El Toro High School is located on Ridge Route and Toledo road, the two 20 stairs are in the middle of the school. Most of the time you won’t get kicked out and the cops pay a visit very rarely.
