It’s been a long, long time…
posted by pt on 15th March, 2010, 19:45It has been quite a while since the news section of this site was updated. There’s various reasons for that, but I’m not going to explain it to you in detail. Let’s face the facts: Updates to the site have been rare, but as skateboardspot.info was up and running nonetheless we managed to gain quite a few new users and a steady growth in the number of visitors. We’re really glad to see this development and hereby promise to (again) invest more time in the site’s maintenance and development. So keep on using it and adding your favourite spots!
It is summer time…
posted by pt on 7th August, 2009, 17:54…and the weather is fine! So everybody’s outdoors, busy riding his skateboard. Also right now it is the holiday season for students, so quite a lot of our users might be traveling to skate other cities right now. We’re begging those who are (and also for those who aren’t) to not just make use of the spotguide by printing out spots in cities you’re traveling to and skating them. It’d be awesome if you also could give something back!
If you’ve been to a spot and the entry about it wasn’t correct: Please correct it if you’re back home again, so that the next person that’s going to read it will have better information. The site is and its content will always be just as good as its users.
So the next time after skating a cool spot that you’ve discovered on skateboardspot.info take your laptop and correct mistakes in entries, or add new photos that you took. Thank you all very much in advance already. Go skate and have fun!
2008’s résumé
posted by pt on 31st January, 2009, 11:41The year 2008 is over (sine almost a month now, yes we do know that) and we thoght it’d be a nice opportunity for us to give some kind of a résumé.
So, here we go: In 2008 the site has been accessed 10,343 times with a total of 95,850 pageviews. Most of our visitors came from Austria, followed by Germany and the United States of America. Some kind of odd we considered the fact, that also quite a lot of hits came from countries such as Kazakhstan and Guatemala. Though we’ve never been there we’re both, surprised and pleased to see that even there something seems to be going on in relation to skateboarding.
But back to the facts: As of now the spotguide contains 110 entries, which have been edited 674 times. That’s quite a lot already and we hope, that the spotguide and the site’s community will continue to grow in 2009!
Merry Christmas everyone!
posted by pt on 24th December, 2008, 12:23Time’s been passing by, and finally it’s Christmas again. For those who believe in, and celebrate it we’d like to say: Merry Christmas! For those who don’t we can just say: In most parts of Europe and Northern America it is winter right now and snow is falling. So skateboarding outdoors, unfortunately is impossible. Hence go and check our spotguide, to find a skate hall or other indoor spot next to your location, by using search terms such as “hall” and “skate hall”. Keep on rolling, even when it’s winter time!
